About
Commercial research on Guyana, to a standard you can check
InvestingGuyana.com is an independent research and market intelligence business. We work for international companies that need to decide whether, where and how to engage with Guyana.
Why we exist
Guyana's economy has changed very quickly since offshore oil production began. Growth rates and oil headlines are easy to find. A sober answer to the question a business actually has is not: is there something here for us, and what would we need to know before acting on it?
That question is what we work on. Our public research covers the economy and its main sectors. Our commissioned research answers it for one company at a time.
What we stand for
Evidence before opinion
Every figure we publish carries its source, its period and what kind of figure it is. Reported facts and our own analysis are kept apart, so you can see where one ends and the other begins.
Clarity about limits
What we could not establish is part of the finding. A conclusion is only as useful as your sense of how much weight it can bear.
The commercial question
We write for the person who has to commit people, stock or capital. That means buyers, procurement, rules, competition and constraints, not national averages.
Independence
We are not part of, or affiliated with, the Government of Guyana, GO-Invest or any official agency, and we are not an investment adviser. If we, or anyone involved in your research, have an interest in an organisation or project we discuss with you, we say so before you rely on our work.
