Privacy notice

Last updated 31 October 2026

This notice explains what information InvestingGuyana.com collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions: hello@investingguyana.com.

What we collect through our forms

When you send a form we store the details you enter: your name, business email address, company, country, area of interest and what you want to understand or achieve, and, if you provide them, your website and any additional context. With each enquiry we also store the page you sent it from, the first page of your visit, the external website that referred you, any campaign (UTM) tags in the link you followed, and a two-letter country code derived by our hosting provider. We do not store your IP address with your enquiry.

Please do not send confidential business information, personal financial information or sensitive personal data through the forms. If confidential information is needed later, we will agree how to handle it.

Why we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry, deliver anything you asked for, and discuss possible research work with you. This is necessary to take steps at your request.
  • To keep a record of enquiries and their outcome, so we can run and improve the service. This is in our legitimate interest.

We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not send you marketing email. Where it is necessary to assess or fulfil your request, we share the details of your enquiry with service providers who help us do so: our research partner in Guyana, and the technical providers listed below. They may use them only for that purpose. We do not sell your information.

Anonymous analytics

We record anonymous events such as page views, clicks on our calls to action, and whether a form was viewed, started, rejected for a missing or invalid field (the field's name only, never what you typed) or sent, together with the page path, the referring website and campaign tags. These records contain no email address, name, message, IP address or identifier that could single you out. If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled it is cookieless. We also use Piqo (piqo.app), a separate analytics service, to count visits. It runs in cookieless mode, so it sets no cookie, and receives the page address, the referring website, the label of links and buttons you click, and the technical details every browser sends with a request, such as your IP address and browser type. It never receives what you type into our forms. The site stores your first landing page and campaign tags in your browser's session storage for the duration of the visit, so that a form submission can be attributed to the right source; this is cleared when you close the tab.

Service providers

The website, the storage of enquiries (Cloudflare Workers KV), the email that notifies us of a new enquiry, spam protection (Turnstile) and our own analytics run on Cloudflare, which processes data on our behalf and may do so outside your country. Visit statistics are also processed by Piqo, as described above. Email we exchange with you passes through our email provider. Our research partner is based in Guyana, so details shared with them are processed there.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries that do not lead to an engagement for up to 24 months after our last contact, then delete them. Records relating to paid work are kept as long as needed for contractual, tax and legal purposes. Anonymous analytics events are kept by Cloudflare for about three months.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Email hello@investingguyana.com and we will respond within one month. Depending on where you live, you may also be able to complain to a data-protection authority.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update the date above.
